BIOGRAPHY

Luciana Valero, was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Mexico City.  She  showed a strong interest in the arts from a very young age, practicing baile folklorico at three years old and spending most of her time drawing. When she moved to Mexico she taught herself how to paint, draw, and sing as access to artistic training was scarce. It was not until later on that she had the opportunity to act in a college production of Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar in Mexico City and discovered that performing was her passion.

Luciana moved back to Los Angeles in late 2016 and enrolled a year later in Los Angeles Mission College (LAMC) where she earned two Associate of Art degrees in Psychology and in Theater Arts. It was at LAMC that she got the opportunity to perform in a variety of productions as an actor and singer, as well as to direct and do dramaturgy for two productions.

She got accepted into the University of California, Irvine (UCI), in 2020 where she has worked as an actor in various projects such as To Keep Our Roots Alive, directed by Juliette Carrillo, and Rising Spirits, a collaboration between South Coast Repertory, Santa Ana High School, and Brown Bag Theatre Company. She is currently working on UCI's Winter production of Rebecca Oaxaca Lays Down a Bunt.

Luciana is the artistic director of Brown Bag Theatre Company 2021-2022, and the co-founder of The Concept Theater Company, a community based theater group based in Los Angeles. Luciana identifies as a Mexican and queer artist and thrives to reflect the varied aspects of her identity in her work.
